I recommend checking out Tokyo (in general) when you’re in Japan
It’s just so manic, and in your face, and bright and garish and noisy, and so many things I’d normally hate in a city, but it just worked.
Oh, and it’s completely full of utterly cool things (like those hand dryers that Dyson ripped off, and toilets with sinks built into the cistern, and Yakitori bars, and toy shops, and games arcades, and Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples, and parks, and all kinds of stuff).
