Save 1p on Amazon DVD Rentals

OK, you can save £1 on the cheapest plan, but what I find more interesting is that if you have two subscriptions to the cheapest plan, you get 4 DVDs a month, 2 at any time, for 1p cheaper than the plan that offers that.

So, “what’s so great about that?” you may be asking yourself. Well, OK, 1p saving isn’t great, but I think what is rather great is that it would allow you to maintain two individual rental queues, and this is something I’ve fancied doing for some time.

“Why?”, you ask, well; if you have two lists, you could maintain a “priority” list, for DVDs you really want to see, and another “backlog” list, of films you fancy seeing sometime. You should then get two “priority” films and two “backlog” films each month.

It also means you can keep your “priority” list pretty short, meaning (in my experience) you’re much more likely to get a dvd from near the top of your list.

Of course, this assumes it’s possible to set up two subscriptions to one address, but I’m sure you can work out a way to do that.
